HARMAN Phoenix 200Â 120 is a new medium-format quirky, experimental colour negative film with high contrast, strong visible grain, and plenty of 'analogue' character.
It is Harman's first-ever colour film made entirely from emulsion to cassette at their Mobberley factory, a significant yet inspiring milestone.
HARMAN Phoenix 200 stands out with its high contrast and strong, visible grain, just a few of its unique traits. These characteristics contribute to the production of characterful, unmistakeably analogue, results that are unlike any other colour film on the market.
With a box speed of ISO 200, we recommend rating HARMAN Phoenix between ISO 100 and 200, depending on the scene brightness and contrast range. It performs best in good, consistent light, and on brighter days or when shooting into the light, halation is also possible.
While the punchy, vibrant colours react differently to different settings, getting the exposure right is crucial to get the best results. We recommend metering for the mid-tones to retain shadow or highlight detail, as over or under exposure is not Phoenix's friend!
Shooting film is an adventure, a journey into the unknown. HARMAN Phoenix 200 is your guide, delivering the unexpected at every turn. From its uniquely coloured negatives to chance encounters with occasional coating anomalies, this film is full of surprises. So, hold back your expectations and embrace the experience!
Please note: HARMAN Phoenix 200 is an experimental, limited-edition film. It's their first step on the colour journey, and we encourage you to embrace this film for all its quirks and differences!
