Harman RED is a medium-speed film crafted by Harman Technology, a renowned name in the UK analogue world. Born from their very own Phoenix 200 emulsion, Harman RED was created by flipping the Phoenix 200 backwards inside the cassette to create unique red, orange, yellow, and occasionally green tones.
What is the Redscale effect?
Redscale works by reversing the film during loading and exposing the film at least one to two stops from the film's ISO speed so that light reaches the red-sensitive layer first. This specialist technique results in vivid orange and red tones, transforming dull scenes into a dystopian-like sensation, producing hauntingly warm and dystopian visuals.
Tips & Tricks
To get the full effect of Harman’s red film, shooting between ISO 100 and 200 is recommended. If you want to take it a step further, the Harman Red 125 offers complete creative flexibility, allowing you to shoot between ISO 50 and 400. Push your photos to the limit!
